A fun educational app with great support.

Fun and educational. Only thing keeping it from 5 stars is a lack of camera features, especially zooming so you can better frame your clouds.

I am doing an internship at Environment Canada and wanted to learn to identify clouds to help me understand what I am working with (Im a software engineer). This app is perfect, as it is fun to "play", it gets you practice a lot and you get to know if you were right, as your pictures are validated. This is incredible. I started today and never looked so much at the sky!! I love it!! The sky is impressive when you start looking at it.

Since ios8 app wont work. Crashes everytime. Sent them an email, they did not answer.

Every now and then, when I pull to refresh either my photos or cloudstream the app logs out or even shuts down. Any photos uploaded for verification disappear. Very frustrating. upd. Developers fixed the issues. It took some time but now I can fully enjoy this unique app. They promise to add zoom function soon - looking forward to it, then itll be 5 stars. PS why not add lightning with some exceptionally high rating (one should be lucky to catch one on iPhone camera)? It is covered in the book so itll do well next to rainbows, halos etc.

Good app, only a BUG in sign in (at restart "login failed")

App worked once when I got it. Now after it launches, even if I dont touch it, it will quit in about two seconds. All the time. No matter what screen I am on. I tried deleting and then reinstalling and shutting down my iPhone 4s and started up again. Finally works. Phew. Minus one star for that rigamarole. So now that I can enjoy it, I finally have a good cloud identifying app which I always wanted.

wow! love the app! ive always had my head in the clouds, now im learning about those beautiful clouds and busy searching for specific identifiers! bummed i cant upload from my own cloud collection... would really like to zoom in or crop my photos. waiting patiently for upgrades!!!

Works well Could use a bigger font for the text

It looks very promising but right now it crashes very frequently when I try to use it. I dont want to completely write off the app until its fixed because as I said it does look promising. Camera roll function would be nice.

Just crashes

App closes before I can sign in. Why do I have to sign in twice? This is not highly confidential info. The camera function doesnt zoom. I have correctly idd clouds but got no credit.

Note to developers: make the text in the Library a bit bigger, please. Some of us are old and need glasses. GREAT APP FOR CLOUDS. Its like a game, a lesson, and a camera. If youre interests include weather or just looking up at the sky, this apps for you. Spot clouds, take a picture and send your picture for verification and points. THE THRILL OF THE HUNT is in the fact that you have take the picture; no uploading images from your photo library or copy/pasting from the web. I would recommend this to a friend!

Finally a great way to keep track of your clouds! For those who are members of the Cloud Appreciation Society - there is now an easy way to track your clouds besides the handy dandy handbook. The app is great as is and the developers are working on some minor bugs. I recomend getting it now - works well and sure to have even better features to come. Great customer service - submitted a photo by accident and sent a note just as a heads up. Got a great email from THE CLOUDSPOTTER himself - Gavin Pretor-Pinney!

My favorite app! Its fun to learn about the sky by learning how to identify cloud types, how they occur, what they mean, and how high they fly. Take pictures, identify them and send them to the experts for verification. By being vigilant you can collect virtual rewards along the way. You might also be rewarded by all the images in the clouds your own mind will capture. Soaring high above the fun is the data that can be used for NASA. Its an opportunity to share your observations as a citizen scientist to map the atmosphere and discern between clouds and ice or snow. I love it! ⛅⚡❄☀

This is a fantastic app Thanks so much for the upgrade. Suggestion--would be awesome to get feedback about unsuccsessful/ unverified clouds perhaps state what the cloud actually is?

Ive only been able to upload one photo because every time I open this app within seconds it shuts down and kicks me out. Also if I could upload some of the many photos I have taken previously that would be great.
