Pros and cons of CloudSpotter – See the Sky with New Eyes and Discover the Fantastic World of Clouds app for iPhone and iPad

CloudSpotter – See the Sky with New Eyes and Discover the Fantastic World of Clouds app good for

You cant resend clouds that have been rejected as a different cloud!!!! Also, the photo thing stays on the previously taken photo for days! Please fix.
Fun, very informative, easy to use. Plus if you incorrectly name the cloud, they actually email you the correction - fabulous!
Easy to use, very nice library. Its a fun way to learn more about clouds and be able to identify them by submitting pics for confirmation. It would be nice for arbitrators to be able to give identification corrections/feedback, instead of simple rejection. Cant wait for the bug with the "clouds recently spotted near me" to be fixed (shows me pics from Africa - Im in Canada). Wish the app included a way to reach the developer when we have an issue or suggestion.
This is the best Cloudspotter app available! Created by the founder of The Cloud Appreciation Society, this app makes t fun to watch the clouds in the sky, and earn stars and badges as a reward. Its addicting!
I love this app. The weather report last night mentioned a shelf cloud and I was so disappointed I missed it. I saw a fallstreak hole last spring, but couldnt pull off the road in time to snap it. I really like the suggestions in the other reviews. Id love to see a map of where the days sightings are. I also would like to be able to upload pictures taken off the internet--especially needed when traveling abroad. I found some additional sky phenomena on the web which I didnt remember in this app: - monochromatic rainbow - moon bow - fog bow Thanks for a really neat app and I hope you maintain it for a long time. Thanks again!
Had the Cloudspotters Guide by Pretor-Pinney for a while and the Cloud Collectors Handbook as well but just discovered this awesome app after reading about it in the New York Times Magazine. Absolutely love it. Ive always taken pictures of clouds and enjoyed them but this adds a whole new dimension to my enjoyment. Actually have learned way more about cloud typed and weather just by using this app even more so than reading the book. Excellent. Looking forward to a zoom feature which I understand is coming in the next update. Highly recommended.

Some bad moments

Its quite narrow in terms of functions - mainly you spot clouds, take pictures of clouds, the app helps you identify them- and share them to a wall where others have done the same. but it seems that no one is around to approve shots so nothing gets uploaded to the shared space, which is static. So all a bit pointless. Shame.
I downloaded the app to my Itouch. I cant get the camera to work. Please refund my money. Thank you.
You have to enter your name and password EVERY time you launch this app. Only takes camera photos. looks like it culls from your library, but it doesnt. I am a member of their website, but this $3 app isnt even worth a crepuscular ray! And those are a dime a dozen...
Since ios8 app wont work. Crashes everytime. Sent them an email, they did not answer.
App worked once when I got it. Now after it launches, even if I dont touch it, it will quit in about two seconds. All the time. No matter what screen I am on. I tried deleting and then reinstalling and shutting down my iPhone 4s and started up again. Finally works. Phew. Minus one star for that rigamarole. So now that I can enjoy it, I finally have a good cloud identifying app which I always wanted.
wow! love the app! ive always had my head in the clouds, now im learning about those beautiful clouds and busy searching for specific identifiers! bummed i cant upload from my own cloud collection... would really like to zoom in or crop my photos. waiting patiently for upgrades!!!
